Lachlan Shire Council would like to assure everyone that the Australia Day Local Citizen of the Year Awards Ceremony in the Shire will be conducted in a COVID-19 safe manner.

The program will adhere to the recommended guidelines from NSW Health, with all participants required to check in before entering the event. There will be volunteer COVID-19 Marshalls at the gate to assist everyone with the checking-in process.

The public are requested to please adhere to the rules and show courtesy to the volunteers who are giving up their free time on this public holiday to help the community.

The event commences at 8:00am with the-Local Australian Citizen of the Year Awards ceremony being held at the SRA Pavilion.

This year’s Australia Day Address will be given by Australia Day Ambassador Allan Sparkes CV, OAM, VA, FRSN.

The Rotary Club of Condobolin will be providing a jumping castle and there is a free breakfast courtesy of Men of League, and coffee and tea will be supplied by Happy Daze Coffee Lounge.

Help us stay COVID-19 safe at events this Australia Day by keeping 1.5 metres apart, practising good hand hygiene and by staying at home if you are feeling unwell.
