New podcast series shares local stories

Published on 20 November 2020

Macedon Ranges Shire Council is enhancing local conversations with the launch of the In This Together podcast next week.

The podcast series will share stories from across the shire about adapting to the COVID-19 pandemic, and looking beyond it.

It will look at what’s changed, what’s stayed the same, and how the community is sticking together and supporting each other.

The weekly series will focus on different topics, starting with the first release Helping Hand and addressing subjects including Sustainability, Staying Connected, Creativity in Lockdown and more.

It will also feature interviews with a range of local residents and information about a range of Council initiatives that support the community.

A supplemental program Humans of Macedon Ranges will be published on the same podcast feed, interviewing residents with fascinating and unique stories that range from high-profile residents to hidden gems.

Acting Chief Executive Officer, John Nevins was excited to share these conversations with the region.

“We want listeners to feel inspired and uplifted about the positive stories from their community,” Mr Nevins said.

“We want residents of the Macedon Ranges to feel connected to their communities and be informed about projects, initiatives and assistance available in the shire.

“We also want to capture a strong sense of place and give resident listeners pride in their community,” he said.
