The recently-elected councillors for Macedon Ranges Shire were sworn in last night at a ceremony that was livestreamed from Council’s Gisborne Administration Centre.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the ceremony was attended by Councillors and Council staff only.

Macedon Ranges Shire Council’s Acting Chief Executive Officer, John Nevins said he congratulates all elected Councillors and looks forward to working with them.

“I’d like to extend a welcome to returning councillors Jennifer Anderson, Janet Pearce and Bill West, former councillors Rob Guthrie and Geoff Neil, and to welcome new councillors Dominic Bonanno, Annette Death, Anne Moore and Mark Ridgeway into their new roles,” he said.

“I’d also like to thank outgoing councillors Henry Bleeck, Natasha Gayfer, Roger Jukes, Mandi Mees, Helen Radnedge and Andrew Twaits for their combined service and contribution to the shire during their terms. I wish them well for the future.”

The Mayor will be elected at a scheduled Council meeting in Gisborne on Monday 23 November, with the new Council’s next meeting to be then held on Wednesday 25 November.
