Expression of Interest – Working Group for View Road Reserve Facility

Published on 20 October 2020

Are you a walker, skater, BMX biker, cycler, frisbee golfer, dog lover or do you simply just enjoy spending time at Burnie’s View Road Reserve? If you answered yes to any of the above, then you may be interested in joining the working group for the View Road Reserve Facility.

Burnie City Council Mayor Steve Kons said Council is “calling for Expressions of interest (EOI) from residents nearby the reserve to participate in a working group which will review the current management plan for the reserve.

“Residents will also work together with Burnie City Councillors and staff to assist Council to develop a long term strategic plan for the recreational areas at View Road Reserve.”

Ideally, the community working group will be made up of, but not limited to, local residents, representatives from the cycling community (mountain biking, BMX and recreational cyclists), walkers, skaters (and scooter users), users of the dog park facilities and frisbee/disc golf course, and Council representatives.

If you believe you have skills or experience to assist in the development of this significant community project, please submit your EOI to Allison Daley at [email protected], together with a summary of your interest and/or skills and/or experience.

Council will select individuals best representing each interest to sit on a working group together with Council representatives.

Expressions of Interest close 4pm on Friday, 6 November 2020.
