Update 9 October, 1 pm – Peppy Beach and Hardy Tce Car Park Closed. A whale carcass has washed up on a Shire beach (Hardy Tce). We are currently making arrangements for its removal.

We have closed Hardy Tce car park to the public until further notice. Please avoid the area as heavy machinery will be operational. We will update this post once the car park is re-opened.

Peppermint Grove Beach remains closed for swimming due to high shark activity. Beachgoers should avoid the area from Forrest Beach to Dalyellup. Visit sharksmart.com.au for up-to-date warnings and shark activity information.

Peppermint Grove Beach is closed for swimming due to high shark activity. This is following advice from the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development – Fisheries.

A whale carcass has been reported off-shore at Peppermint Grove Beach.

Beachgoers should avoid the area from Forrest Beach to Dalyellup following increased shark activity. Visit sharksmart.com.au for up-to-date warnings and shark activity information.

We are monitoring the area with the Department of Fisheries, Department of Parks and Wildlife and Surf Life Saving WA.
