Mumbulla Foundation grants close on Friday 25 September Bega Valley Public School used their 2019 funding to convert a bare outside space, into a vibrant bike-pump track, complete with an edible garden retreat and natural balancing logs. Not-for-profit groups and small charities are encouraged to apply for a Mumbulla Foundation grant before the funding round closes this Friday 25 September.

Manager of Community Connections, Anne Cleverley said the Foundation, in partnership with Council, conducts these rounds annually and offers about $50,000 in total.

“Over 200 local organisations have received funding through Mumbulla grant,” Ms Cleverley said.

“Funding has supported wonderful community projects for older people, people with a disability, young people, families, children and others who need a bit of assistance.

“Grants are awarded to a broad range of projects which help improve the economic, environmental, social and cultural well-being of people in the Bega Valley.

“They can include for the arts and culture sector, and organisations working in community learning and the region’s heritage and environment.

“The application process is designed to be as simple as possible, so if you are a community group with a great idea for our community, get your application in!”

The Mumbulla Foundation Small Grants category awards projects up to $2,000 and the Large Grants category awards projects between $2000 and $9,000.

Applications for the grants are online and close at 5pm on Friday 25 September 2020.
