Members of Lachlan Shire libraries are now able to access Indyreads, a great new online resource for ebooks and audiobooks.

Indyreads is a local eContent management platform, provided by the State Library of NSW which allows public libraries to offer free access to extra eBooks and eAudio.

The aim of Indyreads is to ensure that NSW public libraries can offer their clients a diverse collection of quality Australian and overseas published works.

Content which is not necessarily distributed through traditional libraries is now available to readers via their local public library. At present Indyreads accesses around 20 Australian publishers of genre, non-fiction and literary titles, and will continue to approach more Australian publishers.

There are over 10,000 titles available apart from Australian authors, including award winners, independent publishers, classics, scientific studies and foreign-language books.

You can access Indyreads at https://indyreads.libraries.nsw.gov.au/opac/#index or download the app from the App Store or Google Play to use on your phone or tablet.

Just enter your library number and password (your date of birth) in the format of ddmmyyyy.
