Seeking expressions of interest for the Emerald Airport Advisory Committee

Do you want the chance to have a positive impact on the future of the Emerald Airport? 

Central Highlands Regional Council is seeking expressions of interest for two new committee members to serve on the Emerald Airport Advisory Committee.  

The positions are for a local business owner/representative and a community member. 

The committee is chaired by council and provides advice and recommendations for developing effective networks and partnerships between council, airport users, community and business.  

Mayor Kerry Hayes said a focus of the committee is ensuring the region’s airport and aerodrome landing strips effectively meet future aviation demands.  

‘The committee also identifies economic development and tourism opportunities that support growth and sustainability of regional airport assets.  

‘The successful applicants will be able to provide a broad range of experience and knowledge to the committee about ensuring airport sustainability and future planning considerations,’ he said. 

Applications close 5.00 pm 28 August 2020.
