Isaac Groups Encouraged to Apply for State Government Community Grant Funding

Sporting clubs, community groups and other not-for-profit organisations in the Isaac Region have been encouraged to apply for grants from the Queensland Government’s Gambling Community Benefit Fund.

Isaac Regional Council Mayor Anne Baker said today grants from $500 to $35,000 are available and the next round of funding applications closes on August 31.

“Hundreds of not-for-profits throughout Queensland have received grants from this fund and I strongly encourage Isaac organisations to apply,” Mayor Baker said.

“Organisations from the Isaac Region have already benefitted from previous funding rounds.

“For example, this year the Clermont Kindergarten Day Care Centre has received $35,000 to install flooring, the Clermont Race Club $35,000 for an undercover spectator area, CQ Campdraft Inc. $12,800 to transport cattle, and the Moranbah Pistol Club $35,000 for a tractor mower and to upgrade facilities.”
