2019-20 Water Notices set to arrive from 5 August

Isaac water users are urged to keep an eye on letterboxes as water notices are set to arrive from August 2020.

Isaac water users are urged to keep an eye on letterboxes as water notices are set to arrive from August 2020. The water notices will be issued to more than 9000 Isaac properties.

The payable water notice has been issued for the period January 2020 to June 2020 which falls under the 2019-2020 consumption charges. Residents are encouraged to pay before 5pm on 4 September 2020.

Council has worked hard to keep this as a fair system to stop lower water consumers subsidising heavy users. The below applicable remissions to be applied to water notices are as below:

Reading adjustment: A reading adjustment may be displayed on a residents upcoming water notice. Reading adjustments are generally to correct an estimate from a previous billing cycle.   Not-for-profit organisations during COVID-19 restrictions: Council adopted a report (Resolution number 6554) to provide the maximum relief possible to eligible not-for-profit organisations. Organisations under the Rates Concession – Not for Profit Policy will be provided a 100 per cent concession where the organisation has not already received the full concession for the 2019-2020 financial year.   Clermont 17-day water remission: Isaac Regional Council has endorsed the application of the Utility Charges Remission - Extraordinary Circumstances Policy in response to the March water discolouration event in Clermont. Residents will receive an annualised 17-day proportional rates remission for Clermont properties which receive water consumption for the period between 1 January 2020 to 30 June 2020.

Users can set email and SMS alerts and be notified of water leaks and high consumption within days of occurrence. Ratepayers can sign up online at www.isaac.qld.gov.au/miwater.
