Customer Service Centres to re-open Wednesday, 1 July

Published on 29 June 2020

Gannawarra Shire Council’s Cohuna and Kerang Customer Service Centres will re-open to the public for over the counter service only from Wednesday, 1 July.

Both facilities have been closed to the public since late March as part of efforts to stop the spread of Coronavirus, with customers able to complete transactions and enquire about services via telephone, email and mail during this period.

“Council thanks residents for their understanding during the past few months and looks forward to the re-opening of these important facilities,” Council Chief Executive Officer, Tom O’Reilly said.

“Visitors to either facility need to be prepared that a number of measures will be in place to ensure the safety of customers and staff at this time.”

In line with State Government regulations, people attending either facility will be asked to use hand sanitiser upon entry and adhere to the 1.5-metre social distancing rule once inside either venue.

Opening hours for the Cohuna Customer Service Centre will also change to 12.30pm-4pm Monday to Friday from 1 July, aligning the facility’s operating times in line with the Cohuna Library branch.

“Please note that over the counter queries, including the payment of bills and submission of paperwork, are the only services being provided at either facility at this time,” Mr O’Reilly said.

“Our customer service staff are looking forward to welcoming residents back to these facilities, but it is encouraged that if you are feeling unwell to please stay at home.”
