Launch of new, online streaming service for babies and toddlers
Blue Mountains 19 Jun 2020

Blue Mountains Library has launched its exciting new online streaming service for children aged 0 – 2 years.

Online Babytime commenced today (19 June) with Library Assistant Sue Rein entertaining toddlers and parents for half an hour with songs, rhymes and stories – not to mention the occasional visit from puppets.

Online Babytime follows the success of Online Storytime which the library introduced last month as a response to the COVID-19 restrictions.

Sue said the response from the community to that service has been tremendous.

“We’ve had some wonderful feedback, with some parents telling us that they have watched the videos over and over again. For kids who watch us regularly, when they see us out in the community, they recognise our faces and their eyes light up."

"The beauty of online streaming is that more people can access it. We really do have a lot of fun.”

Online Babytime will be streamed on the first and third Friday of the month.
