Election of New President and Deputy President

Following the two resignations from Council the 5 remaining Councillors held a Special Meeting of Council at short notice on the evening of Tuesday 2nd June 2020, for the purposes of electing a new President. Deputy Cr Gary Ventris was elected unopposed as President. As Cr Ventris had previously been Deputy President the Deputy’s position became available and Cr Earl Schreiber was elected unopposed to become Deputy President. The whole council expressed the desire going forward for the Shire to become more consultative with the community. Both gentlemen made Declarations of Office witnessed by Mr Wayne English JP on Thursday evening just prior to their monthly Councillor Information session.
