Busy fortnight on the cards for construction and maintenance crews

Gympie Regional Council construction and maintenance crews have a busy fortnight head with a number of large construction and routine maintenance work scheduled.

Construction

Investigator Avenue road widening project - The works include road widening and formation of granular pavement and bitumen seal, kerb and channel, driveway reconstruction, concrete footpath, verge profiling, stormwater pits, pipes and subsoil drainage, stormwater culverts, street light installation, turf and tree planting.

River Road street renewal project – The project includes concrete works to traffic medians, pavement excavation, profiling existing asphalt, and asphalt replacement, line marking and traffic signage.

Hughes Terrace asphalt overlay – This project involves the removal and replacement of concrete kerb and channel, pavement digout and replacement, full width asphalt overlay, line marking, signage and turfing.

Amamoor Creek Road Floodway Upgrade - The works include demolition and removal of existing concrete floodway and culvert, construction of a new box culvert structure with concrete floodway. Earthworks, and construction of sealed approaches, signage, permanent rock scour protection, temporary gravel side track and environmental control measures.
