Livingstone Shire Council is doing its part to support local businesses and the wider community with an informative and interactive webpage via Council’s Get Involved platform.

A Council spokesperson said that strong public health efforts are underway to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus COVID-19 and many of our residents and businesses need support during this trying time.

“These engaging webpages are a way to help connect the community with important resources while giving them the opportunity to share their stories or business ideas,” the spokesperson said.

“The business page also welcomes operators to ask a question which will be personally answered by Council’s Co-Chair Economic Recovery and Resilience Taskforce Jan Anfruns and Local Disaster and Recovery Co-ordinator Dave Mazzaferri.

“Council wants to reassure the community that it is working hard to ensure the safety of our residents, businesses, employees, and visitors.”

Council appreciates the community’s co-operation in following the advice from Queensland Health as well as the Queensland and Australian Governments and urges the community to look out for one another in the weeks and months ahead.
