Market diversification and resilience grants | Business Queensland
Cook Shire Council 18 Mar 2020
RATES and BUSINESS ASSISTANCE: Council acknowledges some ratepayers and businesses may be suffering financially following the recent bushfires and with the current COVID-19 pandemic. Council offers the following options to help ease the financial burden. 1. Payment arrangements, allowing residential and commercial ratepayers to choose either deferment of a lump sum payment or smaller payments over a 6-18 month period. 2. Financial hardship application – assessed individually based on eligibility criteria and limited to residential properties which are the ratepayer’s primary residence and not for profit groups. If you are experiencing financial difficulty, need assistance completing the applications or wish to discuss payment options, contact Council’s friendly rates officer via email at [email protected] or phone on 4082 0500. The Queensland Government also has financial assistance available to businesses – for further information visit https://www.business.qld.gov.au/industries/farms-fishing-forestry/agriculture/agribusiness/market-diversification-resilience-grants Market diversification and resilience grants are available for Queensland agriculture, food and fishing export businesses impacted by coronavirus.
