We are trialling innovative technology to assist with our swimming pool safety program and asset management program on Wednesday and Thursday, 10-11 March.

This trial project will help us gain a stronger understanding of the benefits of using technologies to improve the way we work and deliver services to our community.

Between 8am and 6pm on these two days, the drones will be checking the condition of our infrastructure assets, including:

Storm water drain in Bunbury Curran Creek, Ingleburn Williamson Road Bridge, Ingleburn Lights and structure at Memorial Oval, Ingleburn Railway Parade Bridge, Glenfield Campbelltown Sports Stadium roof, Leumeah Campbelltown Civic Centre, Campbelltown Council building on Broughton Street, Campbelltown Gilchrist Drive Bridge, Macarthur

It will also be used to conduct a swimming pool safety assessment in Glenfield.

The drone will be flown by an accredited Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Operator and in accordance with the state’s drone rules and regulations.

We will ensure that it observes our obligations under the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act, 1998 when capturing all imagery.

Any images capturing personal information will be identified and destroyed when they are no longer needed.
