Frankston City residents can now talk directly with a member of Council’s Customer Service Team thanks to their new website live chat service.

Frankston City Mayor, Sandra Mayer said the new live chat service, available on Council’s website, is making it easier for residents to get in touch from the comfort of their own homes.

“We’ve fast-tracked this service to make it easier and safer for residents to contact us, at a time when practicing social distancing is so important.

“Social distancing is the most effective way to control the spread of Coronavirus and we don’t want our community to feel they need to visit Council in person unnecessarily.

“The less people you come into close contact with, the lesser your risk of contracting, or passing on the virus,” Cr Mayer said.

“To protect yourself and our staff please try contacting us via the live chat service, by phone, email, social media or by lodging a web form before you come down to our customer service centres.”

Those residents without symptoms, who do need to attend in person are asked to respect the social distancing measures in place and practice good hygiene, including making sure their hands are clean.

Frankston City Council recommends residents exercise social distancing when in public areas.
