Notice is hereby given that the Shire of Chapman Valley has reviewed its current policies and prepared the following Local Planning Policies for public comment.

Proposed Local Planning Policies

The Shire’s Local Planning Scheme No.3 was gazetted in 2019 and was required to be updated to reflect the requirements of the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015. The Regulations and Scheme No.3 introduced standardised provisions and definitions that are now required to be reflected in the Shire’s Local Planning Policies to ensure consistency.

The Western Australian Local Government Association also released in 2019 a Local Planning Policy template that was prepared through a Working Group comprising representatives of WALGA, the Department of Planning, Lands & Heritage, and Local Government, and sought to produce a standardised statewide policy layout.

Should you wish to make a submission on any of the proposed Local Planning Policies it can be made on the Shire Submission Form (link provided below) and must be lodged in writing with the undersigned on or BEFORE 4:00PM TUESDAY 31 MARCH 2020.
