Council will be holding a Community Recovery Meeting on Monday 13 January 2020 from 6pm to 7:30pm at Bargo Community Hall, Radnor Rd, Bargo. All members of the community affected by the recent fires are invited to attend.

For people who cannot attend the meeting, our intention is to live stream on Facebook, and a recording will be available on Council’s website.

Mayor, Matthew Deeth said: “Community Recovery Meetings are an important step in the recovery process”.

 “This meeting is being held for the community to come together and listen to the needs and concerns of the people who have been impacted by the recent fires.”

Federal Member for Hume, Angus Taylor and State Member, Nathaniel Smith as well as representatives from Council, the Office of Emergency Management and the RFS will be on hand to provide information regarding response and recovery to the bushfire situation and discuss steps to rebuild affected communities.

Council staff will also be on hand to talk about waste and clean up, infrastructure, rebuilding and funding assistance.

A free sausage sizzle will also be provided by Picton Magpies.
