Celebrate Australia Day around Ararat Rural City

Ararat Rural City Council and the Central Grampians LLEN is holding a series of events on Australia Day – 26 January 2020 – and we’d love you to join us. Read on for all the details.

ARCC Australia Day Ceremony

Council’s annual ceremony will be held on Sunday 26 January from 10am (with a barbecue breakfast from 9am) at Alexandra Oval Community Centre, 1 Waratah Ave, Ararat. This event includes presentation of the ARCC Australia Day Awards, Australia Day Ambassador Duncan Stalker, a citizenship ceremony, free barbecue and live music. All welcome!

Thanks to the CGLLEN, pool parties will be held at the Willaura Memorial Pool and Peter O’Rorke Lake Bolac Memorial Pool, including free entry all day as well as free face painting, a barbecue and waterslide.

Ararat outdoor pool and Alexandra Garden party

Free pool entry all day, free barbecue 12pm-2pm, live music from The Double Agents 12pm-3pm, jumping castle, face painting and Something Sweet Gelato.
