(6/12/2019) Christmas activities in Fremantle
City of Fremantle 6 Dec 2019

Two of Fremantle’s favourite Christmas events will be happening over the next two weekends.

WA’s best Christmas market, Bazaar, returns to Fremantle Arts Centre this weekend for its 40th year.

This three days of retail heaven, featuring 50 of WA’s most talented designers and makers, is held in the lovely surrounds of FAC’s front garden.

With a bar, delicious food and DJs, it’s the perfect chance to pick up unique, quality Christmas gifts, find the finest jewellery, fashion, ceramics, sculpture, woodwork and textiles, and support local artists this festive season.

Bazaar opens this afternoon at 4pm and continues all day Saturday and Sunday from 9am–5pm.

Next weekend you can warm up your vocal cords and get your Christmas hats out for Carols by Candlelight at Fremantle Oval.

The Libby Hammer Quintet, WA’s best loved jazz outfit is returning to Fremantle with The Arcadian Voices to lead you through a Christmas carol spectacular.

The festive sing-along will include free children’s activities, roving entertainment, food from local vendors and a surprise visitor from the North Pole.

Carols is on again on Sunday 15 December. Gates open at 5pm and carolling runs from 6.30-8pm.

There are still plenty of chances to win a $500 voucher to spend at your favourite Freo store in the City of Fremantle’s #shopfreo competition.

To enter the #shopfreo competition just spend $20 in any participating store and ask for your unique code, then go online at vistfremantle.com to enter the codeword for your chance to win $500 to spend in the store.

Two winners will be drawn every Monday through to 23 December.

Free Parking Santa and his elves are back in Fremantle for their annual visit from the North Pole.

They’ll be appearing in Freo (Monday through Thursdays) right up until Christmas looking for happy shoppers and paying for their parking. Check the City’s Facebook page for locations all through December.
