AUSTRALIA DAY 2020 AWARDS

 

Interested persons and organisations are invited to make nominations for the Weddin Shire Australia Day 2020 Awards.

Categories are:       -      Citizen of the Year

                               -      Senior Citizen of the Year

                               -      Community Event/Organisation of the Year

                               -      Community Achievement Awards in any category.

                               -      Achievement Award – each secondary and primary school in the Shire.

                               -      HSC Academic Award – Henry Lawson High School

Nominations forms are available at the Council Chambers or Council’s website www.weddin.nsw.gov.au and will be accepted up until Friday, 6 December 2019.

 

STREET STALLS 2020

 

Applications may now be lodged with the undersigned for allocation of dates for street stalls during 2020.  It is anticipated that an allocation of dates will take place in December 2019.

AQUA FITNESS- GRENFELL AQUATIC CENTRE

Wednesday 5.45pm and Saturday 10.00am

$10 pp, $7 aged pensioner + pool entry.

SWIMMING LESSON AT THE GRENFELL AQUATIC CENTRE

Swimming lessons will be $15 for a private swimming lesson for 30 minutes. We teach your children water confidence, teach strokes, stroke correction and survival techniques.  For ages- 6 months up to high school aged children.

 

Book in with one of our four Austswim qualified Swimming Instructors.

DEMOLITION OF TAYLOR PARK TOILETS

Residents and travelling public are advised that the toilet block in Taylor Park will be unavailable until further notice due to demolition and redevelopment of the facilities. 

Public toilets are available at the Visitor Information Centre Main Street Grenfell.

Council has received a Modified Application to increase buses stored onsite from 3 to 4 over LOT: B DP: 964370 Main Street GRENFELL 2810 (rear of Best Automotive).

 

Inspection:      The application DA 41/2014 (Modified) to increase buses stored onsite from 3 to 4 may be viewed between the hours of 9.00 am to 4.00 pm from Thursday 14 November 2019 and Friday 6 December 2019 at the Council’s Office, Camp Street, Grenfell.

Submissions:   Any person may make a submission in writing to the Consent Authority within the advertised period.  Submissions objecting to the development are required to specify the grounds for objection.

Written submissions are to be received at Council by 4.00 pm on Friday 6th December 2019.
