The Shire held its last Citizenship Ceremony for the year on Tuesday, 12 November with 21 people taking the Australian Citizenship pledge at Australind Council Chamber.
This year the Shire has held eight citizenship ceremonies, welcoming 61 new Australian Citizens.
Harvey Shire President Paul Gillett said it was fantastic to see so many people choosing to call the Shire of Harvey home.
“Welcome to our new citizens and we hope you enjoy your time living in a great part of Australia,” he said.
“New citizens bring diversity and culture to our Shire, and citizenship is a way of connecting the people of Australia as one and making it an even better place to live.”
The next citizenship ceremony will take place on Australia Day next year.
