Greater Bendigo residents who might be alone, feel excluded, or are facing financial difficulties this Christmas are encouraged to register early for the 2019 Community Christmas Lunch.

The two-course lunch will take place in The Conservatory at the All Seasons Hotel from 12pm until 2pm on Christmas Day.

Registrations are essential and must be received by 5pm on Friday December 6. Bookings can be made by calling the City on 5434 6000 or visiting the City’s offices.

Greater Bendigo Mayor Cr Margaret O’Rourke said the event was always very well attended and aimed to connect people who were disadvantaged or needed company on Christmas Day.

“The community lunch is a great opportunity to connect with other members of the community and feel part of the Christmas festivities,” Cr O’Rourke said.

“We are very fortunate in Bendigo to have businesses like the All Seasons who support the community at this time of the year. I encourage people to register as soon as possible because places get booked up very quickly."

All Seasons owners Tom and Jeanine Hedley said they were looking forward to hosting the Community Christmas Lunch again.

“We’re very proud to be able to do this for the people of Greater Bendigo and thank our suppliers who work with us to make this possible. It’s always a lovely atmosphere on the day - our guests will enjoy some great community hospitality,” Jeanine said.

Doors will open at 11.45am and the lunch will be served at 12pm sharp on Christmas Day and includes cold meats, salads and dessert with traditional festive trimmings. This is an alcohol-free event.
