Charman Rd closed for 3 weeks
Bayside City Council 12 Nov 2019

The Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP) has advised that Charman Road will be closed to traffic between Station Road and Blagdon Street from 2pm on Friday 15 November 2019 until Friday 6 December 2019. This is to enable underground cable works and drainage upgrades to be completed as part of the level crossing removals in Cheltenham. Construction will take place 24 hours a day during this time to keep the road closure to a minimum.

Bayside residents who travel through the area should be advised that detours will be in place and you should allow extra time to get to your destination safely. There will also be increased traffic along the detour routes for this period and some of the bus routes (600, 811, 812, 922 and 923) will be affected. Pedestrian access will be maintained to shops, Cheltenham Primary School, Cheltenham Pioneer Cemetery and over the level crossing during the works.
