Hidden art on show Posted Saturday 02 November 2019

Rarely seen works from Mosman Art Gallery’s prized collection have been unveiled in an innovative new exhibition.

Curated by director John Cheeseman, The Director’s Cut is the first of a series to share hidden gems unearthed during a comprehensive review of the vast collection that recently took place while they were being moved into a new off-site archival facility.

This first Director’s Cut exhibition has been coined ‘The Paper Cut’ and will feature works on paper by artists such as Ken Done, Catherine O’Donnell, Peter Kingston, John Crothers, Tracey Moffatt, John Brack, Augustus Earle, Lloyd Rees, Judy Cassab, John Olsen, Marlee Naparula, Brett Whiteley, Ruth Faerber and Ann Cape.

The exhibition runs until Sunday 24 November and free highlight tours have been scheduled at 2pm on Sunday 17 November and 6.30pm on Wednesday 20 November. Mosman Art Gallery is open from 10am to 5pm 7 days excluding public holidays, and until 8pm on Wednesdays.
