Free Tip Day

Bland Shire Council is opening up landfills in West Wyalong, Ungarie and Barmedman for free next weekend.

 Residents across the Shire can clear out their cupboards, clean out the gutters, tidy up the yard, round up those items around the house they no longer need and dump their rubbish for free in West Wyalong this Saturday and in Barmedman and Ungarie on Sunday.

 “Free Tip Day” has been held annually in the Bland Shire since 2013 and proven a great success with more than 200 vehicles visiting the West Wyalong landfill alone last year.

 Council’s April monthly meeting agreed to support the initiative again in 2019.

 Bland Shire residents can dump up to one cubic metre of sorted waste per load for free between 10am and 3pm on Saturday at the West Wyalong landfill. Normal charges will apply on Sunday.

 Ungarie residents can dispose of their rubbish for free on Sunday morning from 8.30am until 11.30am before the Barmedman landfill opens between 12.30pm and 3.30pm.

 All other Council controlled landfills, where dumping charges do not apply, will operate as normal.
