Gympie Regional Libraries are launching Adult Learners Week on Monday 2 September by presenting a range of opportunities for people to enhance or acquire new skills.

Classes and workshops will be held at every library branch across the region, with activities ranging from crochet, pottery, sustainable living and car restoration. On Monday 2 September from 10am to 12pm, join us for a fun workshop where you will get an introduction to the wonderful world of cross stitch.

Then on Tuesday 3 September at 10am to 11am, at the Imbil Library, join local artist Halina Paterson as she shares her knowledge of charcoal and ink drawing.

Visit the Imbil Library on Wednesday 4 September from 2pm to 3pm and the Tin Can Bay Library on Saturday 7 September from 10am to 11am and learn how to create a beautiful DIY drop dish that can be used to decorate your home or to give as a gift. At the Gympie Library, join Morag Gamble from Our Permaculture Life on Thursday 5 September, 11am to 12pm to explore sustainable living and waste reduction in the home.

On Saturday 7 September from 10am to 11am, join Rob White from the Gympie Historic Auto Club, as he discusses the tips and tricks on how to restore vintage cars as well as sharing some stories of his favourite restoration projects.
