News Councillors honoured at Local Government Week Aug 09 2019 Congratulations to Shire President Cr Kerry White and Cr Peter Foster who were both honoured for their distinguished service to the community, during this year’s Local Government Week. Cr Kerry White has lived in Onslow for 24 years, 12 of these as an Elected Member and the past eight as Shire President.  Raising a family in Onslow while running a successful local business, Cr White has dedicated many years to both the local and regional communities and is a highly regarded community leader and strong advocate for many progressive projects. Cr Peter Foster has lived in Tom Price for 12 years and was first elected to Council in 2011.  As a passionate member of the community and council, Cr Foster sits on numerous committees and advisory bodies.    Both Cr White and Cr Foster always advocate for the betterment of the Ashburton region and we thank them for their commitment to Council and the community.
