Making grant applications easier Wednesday 03 July

Community groups and organisations across East Gippsland are being encouraged to apply to East Gippsland Shire Council’s grants programs. Council is holding information sessions next month and you are invited to come along and discuss your project ideas.

Community members and groups can attend information sessions at Bairnsdale, Paynesville or Lakes Entrance to learn more about the various grant streams and how to write applications.

Information sessions will be held on:

Monday, July 15: Bairnsdale Library Meeting Room 1, 5-6pm. Thursday, July 18: Paynesville Library Meeting Room 1, 12-1pm. Thursday, July 18: Lakes Entrance Library Committee Room, 5-6pm.

If you cannot make it to any of the sessions please contact Council on 5153 9500 to make a meeting time.

The suite of programs provide funding for a wide range of activities and council staff will be on hand to help, answer questions and discuss your project as well as providing advice and tips on applying for grants. If you are unable to attend a session, program staff are available to assist you over the phone or in person.

Grants of up to $5,000 are available for community projects and arts and heritage grants. Grants of up to $10,000 are available for major arts projects. The funding for Regional and District Event Sponsorship is unique as event organisers can apply for up to three years of sponsorship to assist in establishing an event that provides economic benefit to East Gippsland.

Applications are completed online through council’s website and close on Wednesday, August 7, at 5pm.
