All residents across the Northern Beaches are now able to book their bulky goods collection at a time that suits them.

From 1 July, whether you’re moving home or planning a spring clean, you can now book two on-demand collections a year.

For many residents across the Northern Beaches, this isn’t a new service but for those living in the former Warringah Council area this will be a change from scheduled collections.

Why on-demand bulky goods collections?

Apart from the convenience for residents, on-demand bulky goods collections improve street amenity, public safety and accessibility.

The impact on streetscape is often magnified in higher density areas, with potentially unsafe conditions for the public, if not well controlled.

Reducing the amount of waste we send to landfill is everyone’s responsibility. Before making a booking for a bulky goods collection we ask you to think about whether your items could be reused or repurposed. Contact your local charity, sell online or hold a garage sale.

Council is committed to the war on waste. We regularly host a number of practical workshops designed help you reduce your waste, such as how to sell online, repair small appliances and furniture, how to keep backyard chickens and many more.
