In the Community Forums schedule endorsed at Council in March, we committed to doing General Manager face-to-face sessions four times throughout the year. Along with Council Listening Posts and Regional Community Forums, these sessions have been created specifically with increasing access to Council in mind. We have our first scheduled session coming up, on 27 June.

To ensure fairness to all community members who would like to talk with the General Manager, we require people... to request a meeting through the General Manager’s Executive Assistant. At the time of making a meeting request, you will be asked what you would like to discuss, to allow sufficient time for any background information or preparation to be undertaken.

If the meeting request is for a matter that has already been responded to or if the matter on the agenda should be referred to Elected Members, the General Manager has the discretion to decline the meeting. A staff member may be present at some meetings to provide detailed information on particular topics.

Topics from each face to face session will be used to create FAQs, or other content such as newsletter articles or Facebook posts except where the discussion is of a personal, private or sensitive nature. This will provide transparency and help to communicate contents of discussions where appropriate.

To make a booking request, please call Council on 6261 8500.

Once a request has been made, you will receive confirmation of your meeting time within 2 business days.

Booking times are limited, so please ensure that you contact the Council with your meeting request as soon as possible.
