Liverpool City Council is launching its Love Liverpool campaign with a showcase of the city’s biggest attractions at the Liverpool Growers and Foodies Market on 15, June, from 8am to 1pm.

Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller said the campaign was the first of its kind to celebrate the wonderful things to see, taste and do in Liverpool.

“One of these wonderful attractions is the Liverpool Growers and Foodies Markets, which used to be known as Warwick Farm Trackside Markets, and is celebrating its name change with us on June 15,” Mayor Waller said.

“There will be a delicious range of freshly made food, indulging dumplings, gozleme, crepes, breakfast burgers, cakes, hot coffee and more.

“We will also be giving out a limited number of showbags with deals and products from local businesses.”

The event will also include talks with the Georges River Environmental Education Centre and a ‘come and try’ stall with Liverpool City Archers.

Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre and Liverpool Regional Museum will be featured at stalls on the day, along with live music, Garden Games and 40 stalls selling the best fresh local produce and locally made goods.

“Liverpool residents have a fierce pride in their city and suburbs and this campaign aims to tap into that pride,” Mayor Waller said.

“This showcase is just the start of a campaign working with local businesses and attractions to highlight what Liverpool has to offer.”
