Call for Quality of Life Mayoral Reference Group members
Blue Mountains 20 May 2019

Blue Mountains City Council is seeking two new community members to join a Quality of Life Mayoral Reference Group to facilitate ongoing discussion relating to the proposed Western Sydney Airport at Badgery’s Creek and the raising of the Warragamba Dam wall.

The reference group was initially established in 2016 to enable ongoing communication between the Council and interested community members on emerging matters relating to the proposed Western Sydney Airport.

The reference group has now been broadened to also relate to the raising of the Warragamba Dam wall.

Blue Mountains Mayor, Cr Mark Greenhill, said: “The reference group is an important mechanism to ensure that community interest about the Western Sydney Airport and the raising of the Warragamba Dam wall is heard by Council.

“The Group will help us ensure that ongoing representations and advocacy undertaken by the Council on these significant issues are in line with the views of the community.” Council invites expressions of interest from the community and these must be received by midnight on 29 May, 2019.

Expressions of interest need to address the selection criteria outlined here: bmcc.nsw.gov.au/wsa-council-matters/wsa-mayoral-reference-group

Submissions can be emailed to [email protected] quoting reference F09926, with Quality of Life Mayoral Reference Group Vacancy as the subject of the email.
