Council is introducing designated smoke-free play spaces to protect children from the dangers of passive smoking, coming into effect from 1 June 2019.
An action within Council’s endorsed Living Well Plan for Health and Wellbeing, notes an objective to promote and expand smoke-free environments within the City of Unley, in line with the Tobacco and E-Cigarette Products Regulation Act 1997.
The key purpose of applying this law is to protect children from the dangers of passive smoking. This will also help to promote positive health and a cleaner and safer environment.
