In the lead up to the Federal Election Huon Valley Council has identified key priorities for our region.
Mayor Bec Enders said Intergovernmental collaboration is essential for achieving the best outcomes for our community.
“We have named some priority projects which will allow the local and federal Governments to work together to ensure we get the best outcomes for our region,” Cr Enders said.
“We have outlined six priority projects and five tourism projects that will help the Huon Valley deal with some of the pressing challenges we face.
“Our communities are in great need of support after the recent bushfires as well as other social and economic challenges.
“These projects have been on our list of priorities for some time. They have been informed by either the 2020 Community Plan or the HVC Strategic Plan.”
“During the 2019 Federal Election campaign we will work with all candidates for commitments for these important projects,” Cr Enders said.
