Support for local community projects

The Cessnock LGA ClubGRANTS Committee is pleased to announce that the 2019 ClubGRANTS Category 1 funding round is now open.  Funding is available for a wide range of projects that address disadvantage in our community, local non-profit community organisations and services are encouraged to apply.  

In 2018, Cessnock LGA ClubGRANTS provided a total of $101,753 to fully or partially fund 20 local projects and programs.  

Cessnock LGA ClubGrants Committee spokesperson Paul Cousins said, “We are looking to fund strong community projects that will deliver great outcomes for our community.  The priorities for funding this year include initiatives addressing homelessness, domestic violence, mental health, at risk youth, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and social isolation.”  

The Cessnock LGA ClubGrants Committee includes Cessnock Leagues Club, East Cessnock Bowling Club, Kurri Kurri Bowling Club, Greta Workers Sports and Recreation Club, and Weston Workers Club.
