Businesses are being encouraged to celebrate their contribution to the region with nominations open for the 2019 Snowy Monaro Business Awards.

Launched last year, the awards program showcases the important role local businesses play in strengthening the region’s economy.

Nominations opened on Monday, April 1 and will be accepted until Monday 6 May. Nominations may be submitted by the link below.

The 2019 Snowy Monaro Business Awards will be presented at a gala evening on Friday 31 May at the Perisher Station Resort, Jindabyne.

The awards are an initiative of the Cooma Chamber of Commerce, Jindabyne Chamber of Commerce and Snowy Monaro Regional Council.

Business Awards Committee member Kathy Kelly said the awards are a fantastic way of shining the light on the success that local businesses have.

“We are fortunate in the Snowy Monaro region to have many fantastic businesses. The awards are a great initiative to allow the region to come together to celebrate the achievements of our businesses,” Ms Kelly said.

“Many of our business owners are modest. The awards will help celebrate their efforts. Our businesses do a great job of attracting people to the region. They are also very good employers.”

The 2019 awards will recognise the importance of tourism in the region with several dedicated tourism business awards.
