South Australian Wooden Boat Festival

2019 program available now

The 16th South Australian Wooden Boat Festival is now just around the corner, gracing the Goolwa Wharf Precinct and riverside over two days, on 27 and 28 April.

The program has been released and is a feast for the nautical senses, providing an exciting array of events and activities that will appeal to both boaties and non-boaties alike.

Sailing demonstrations, a boat building competition, photographic displays, children’s pirate trail, parades, paddle steamers and more will occupy the precinct and riverside area. Jaralde Park will again become the festival hub of live music and local cuisine and craft beverages.

The South Australian Wooden Boat Festival is a celebration of the unique culture and heritage of the Goolwa and the Alexandrina region, bringing together boat and woodworking enthusiasts and their families to honour the remarkable workmanship and boating stories associated with this historic riverside township.
