The Bellingen Shire community is encouraged to contribute to the development of a Signage Strategy for the Shire.  The Signage Strategy will look at tourism and Wayfinding signage at shire boundaries and town entry points, parks and reserves, and visitor information signage. The Strategy will identify signage that is out-dated, or in need of replacement, and offer direction for implementation of new signage in the Bellingen Shire.

Tourism signage is a powerful tool for communities to develop a strong brand for their region, and create a positive first impression for visitors. Wayfinding signage provides important information about the attractions and services available in an area, and helps people to orient themselves, and navigate safely from place to place.

“The Bellingen Shire Signage Strategy will provide guidance for the development of well-designed and positioned signage that reflect the values of our community and communicates a strong brand identity” said General Manager Liz Jeremy.

Your feedback will inform the Signage Strategy and provide guidance to Council in order to make well-informed, acceptable and sustainable decisions. We want to know what you think … and giving us your comments is easy!  Drop in sessions have been scheduled for the following venues and dates:
