How do you think our community buildings measure up?

Published on 12 March 2019

Whether it’s using a public toilet, attending meetings at your local community centre, going to the library to loan a book or taking a karate lesson in a nearby hall, Council wants to find out more about your experience of using council-owned buildings.

“We want to find out what you think about the performance of these buildings, and how you rate their importance.  We’re asking people to complete our short survey to tell us what they think and they can provide feedback on one or all of our public buildings and toilets,” Council’s Asset Management Coordinator, Blyth Short said.

“Are the buildings clean and safe?  Do they cater for disability access? Are there enough public toilets?  Are there ways Council could better look after these buildings to meet the community’s needs?”

“Feedback from the community will underpin and guide the development of Council’s 10 year Asset Management Plan for buildings so we can provide the right levels of service for our assets for the future,” Ms Short said.

Everyone’s invited to have a say by completing an online survey by Friday 12 April at www.yoursaybyronshire.com.au/asset-levels-of-service-buildings.
