NSW Government offering over $16 million in funding to help manufacturing businesses save energy and money 7 Mar 2019 4:33 PM -

Lachlan Shire businesses are encouraged to take advantage of the NSW Government’s offer of over $16 million in funding to help manufacturing businesses save energy and money.

The funding will help businesses:

upgrade energy monitoring systemsreplace or retrofit old, inefficient equipmentinstall new energy efficient equipmentimprove manufacturing processes.

If you’re successful, you’ll get up to $120,000 in matched funding per site, to implement a project that saves gas or electricity.

The first funding round opened 22 February 2019 and closes 5pm AEST 30 June 2019.

Any business with a manufacturing site in NSW can apply, as long as it:

has an ABN and is registered for GSTundertakes manufacturing activities (according to the Manufacturing Division of ANZSIC 2006) or cotton ginning.

If your main business isn’t manufacturing, but you undertake manufacturing activities in NSW and your project is associated with these activities, you may still be eligible.

You can apply at any time during the funding round.

The NSW Government will be hosting briefing sessions in late March where you will hear about the funding offers available, eligibility, tips on how to apply, the application process and what you need to submit. In addition information will also be provided on the reporting requirements if successful and example project case studies. The briefing sessions will be in Bathurst, Dubbo and Wagga Wagga as well as other areas in NSW and the NSW Government will also be hosting a webinar (online) in March.
