A new way to explore Cockburn
City of Cockburn 20 Feb 2019
There are hundreds of unique attractions around the City of Cockburn and, with the launch of the new Explore Cockburn interactive map, discovering them all has never been easier.

Explore Cockburn features more than just roads, it encourages people to leave their cars behind and explore the City’s many shared paths, bike friendly roads and nature trails.

The interactive map allows residents to plot out routes around the City and highlights local attractions that can’t be found on Google maps – including murals, sculptures and statues, playgrounds, drinking fountains, dog exercise areas, free WiFi zones, our glow in the dark Moon Deck path and key destinations including the Coogee maritime trail.

City of Cockburn Mayor Logan Howlett said that the new resource would help local residents discover everything the City of Cockburn had to offer.

“Our City is full of wonderful attractions both natural, like the Coogee maritime trail, and manmade, like the Davilak Ruins. We are happy to be able to provide a tool that helps our residents to be active and take full advantage of all of our resources,” Mayor Howlett said.

The map can be used from a phone or a computer and is fully accessible for people of all abilities.
