Finding your voice

Calling local writers, poets and storytellers to a spoken word event and creative writing workshop facilitated by poet Pip Sheehan from Live @ The Crossing at Kearsley next week.

The event on Wednesday 13 February 2019 running from 5pm to 6.30pm will double as the launch of The Cessnock Writers' Nest, a new monthly writing group that will be held at Cessnock Library.

Library Services Co-ordinator, Rose-marie Walters encouraged residents to consider joining the group, calling it an opportunity to connect with likeminded people.

“Whether you are looking to send to publishers or just enjoy writing as a hobby, this event and our emerging groups are a way of sharing love of the written word.”

“The Writers' Nest will be a great place to get writing tips, share your work and get feedback and hear guest speakers."   The launch event is the perfect opportunity to find out more about this fantastic new group.

Come along, enjoy some refreshments and hear from Pip Sheehan. Booking are essential, you can book online at libraries.cessnock.nsw.gov.au or by phoning Cessnock Library on 4993 4399.
