Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian hosted the Western Sydney Aerotropolis Investment Forum in Warrick Farm on 28 May.

The Western Sydney Aerotropolis Investment Forum took place on Monday 28 May, with government leaders including Premier Gladys Berejiklian and Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull coming together with CEOs and industry representatives to discuss how investment and development can be encouraged and nurtured around the new airport.

Held at the William Inglis Hotel, Warrick Farm, the aim of the forum was to encourage private sector investment in a range of fields including aerospace, defence, manufacturing, healthcare, freight, logistics, agribusiness and education, as well as growing jobs in the Western Parkland City.

At the forum, an announcement was made that the NSW Government will establish an Investment Attraction office to coordinate the attraction of national and international investment to the Western Parkland City and the Badgerys Creek Aerotropolis. The Investment Attraction Office will be located in Liverpool. The Aerotropolis Development Authority, led by Geoff Roberts, will provide a governance structure for the aerotropolis area.

Campbelltown City Council, together with the seven other Western Sydney Councils in the City Deals project, was represented in an information stall coordinated through the Western Sydney Investment Attraction Office. A joint publication was developed specifically for the event and handed out to the summit attendees.

A Western Sydney Investment Tour was held the following day, Tuesday 29 May. The tour visited Penrith, Camden, Liverpool and Campbelltown and was attended by more than 30 international Trade and Investment Commission representatives.

The tour, held at Campbelltown Stadium, provided the opportunity to showcase the growing investment opportunities in Campbelltown, with particular focus given to our CBD, Health and Education Precinct and Stadium and Entertainment Precinct.

An additional tour of Campbelltown, with site visits and more in-depth details on the Health and Education Precinct, CBD and Business Park, is currently being coordinated.
