DIRECTOR ENGINEERING

 

Applications for the position of Director Engineering are currently being invited.

 

This position represents an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of the region.  The Director will report directly to the General Manager and provide strategic and technical engineering advice that will enable Council to continue to provide a wide range of vital infrastructure services to the community.

The preferred applicant will have appropriate tertiary qualifications with prior experience at executive level, leadership and interpersonal skills and demonstrated management skills. The position should be attractive to an applicant seeking advancement in a pleasant work environment, with responsibilities covering a wide range of local government activities.

A performance based agreement will be offered with an attractive remuneration package. A residence is available to rent and a vehicle is available for private use in accordance with Council’s policy.

SNAP SEND SOLVE

 

Weddin Shire Council is introducing the Snap Send Solve app, which lets locals report issues without the need to come in and write up any paperwork. The app requires a photo to be taken of the damage along with a GPS location, which can then be viewed from the office to save our engineers attending the site.
