Bluntside Skatepark Series

Bluntside Skatepark Series will now be held on Sunday, 16 September from 10.00am - 2.00pm

at the Bathurst Skate Park featuring skateboarding, scooters and BMX.

There’s a free barbecue and great prizes on offer. Register at australianskateboarding.com/events/

Free Skills Sessions

Led by Ricky Konza from Blunt Side Sk8 Park Tours, two free skills sessions will be held on

Learner Supervisor Workshop

The RMS and Council are hosting a free workshop for parents supervising learner drivers on Thursday 20 September at 5.00pm at the Civic Centre (158 Russell Street).

The workshop will offer practical advice on how to help you help your learner driver become a better driver. Bookings are essential. Call Andrew on 6333 6517 to reserve your place.

Inland Sea of Sound

BizMonth Business Lunch with David Koch

Ohkuma Visit - Expressions of Interest

Bathurst has an ongoing sister city relationship between Ohkuma in Japan. A delegation, led by a Council representative, will visit Ohkuma from November 3 to 9.

Council is seeking expressions of interest from members of the community who are interested in joining the delegation (at own cost). To register your interest, please call 6333 6111.

Father’s Day at NMRM

The National Motor Racing Museum will celebrate Father's Day this year on Sunday, September 2.

It also marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the museum by the Bathurst Light Car Club in 1988. Free entry to the museum will be provided to fathers and anyone born in 1988. Other activities on the day will include the rides in the replica cars, sausage sizzle, car/bike and other displays. Visit www.nmrm.com.au for more information.

NMRM Legendary Moments Dinner

Tickets for the National Motor Racing Museum 'Legendary Moments' Dinner are now available. Enjoy a two-course meal while listening to stories from Mark Winterbottom and other Legends of the Great Race. Take in the spectacular views of Mount Panorama from Rydges' top level as the Legends take you on a drive down memory lane, reliving their most memorable moments on Mount Panorama.

Sporting Association Grants

Grants are available to assist local sporting organisations to undertake specific works or purchase equipment for the advancement of sport in the Bathurst Region. Sporting organisations that are affiliated with the Bathurst District Sport and Recreation Council are eligible to apply for these grants, with a total of $20,000 allocated to this scheme.

Graham Lupp

Local author and artist, aGraham Lupp, will be talking about the historic buildings of Bathurst

and surrounding areas using extracts and illustrations from his two-volume book Building

Morris Gleitzman

Morris Gleitzman, one of Australia’s funniest and best-loved authors for young people and is coming to Bathurst Library on Thursday, 13 September from 2pm to 3pm.

Morris is the current Australian Children’s Laureate for 2018 and 2019 and in this role (and his words) he will be roaming “the land engaging young readers in a celebration of stories and all the precious things they get from them. For bookings, contact the library on 6333 6281.
