Balwyn Library closing ahead of new facility opening

The redevelopment of Balwyn Library is almost complete and the new facility will re-open at 336 Whitehorse Road, Balwyn, at 10am on Wednesday 4 April.

Temporary library closed from 16 March

The temporary Balwyn Library at 230 Balwyn Road, North Balwyn, will close at 6pm on Friday 16 March 2018.

There will be no Balwyn Library service between Friday 16 March and Wednesday 4 April 2018 while we relocate our collection to the new premises.

Residents can visit one of our other libraries in Hawthorn, Kew, Camberwell or Ashburton, or can continue to access our online collections at any time.

Returns and reservations

If you have borrowed items from the temporary Balwyn Library, these items will have an extended loan period so they will not be due back until after the new library reopens.

Reservations can be collected from Kew Library while Balwyn Library is closed.
