Hermannsburg Youth enjoyed a cultural exchange when Raw Materials, a youth organisation from Brixton in England, visited for several days. The exchange included writing songs and making videos together as well as cooking and eating kangaroo tails. The members of Raw Materials are all trained youth workers with wide ranging skills in creating and performing music including singing, using digital media and playing different instruments.

Many young people from Ntaria joined in the workshops learning new music styles from the visitors while the Raw Materials crew learnt from the locals about their culture and lifestyle. Their final night together featured a concert that showcased their collaborations. The crew from Brixton left wishing they had had more time, but promising to return and spend longer.
